And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of
Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up
out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove
descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying,
Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
...God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power:
who went about doing good, and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;
because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;
he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to them that are bound...
If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray the Father,
and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you
for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him;
for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
...And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:
this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this,
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
There is none other commandment greater than these.
And because ye are sons,
God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son
into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
...But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you
from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from
the Father, he shall testify of me...when he, the Spirit of truth, is come,
he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself;
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come.
John 15:26 and John 16:13
...But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send
in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your
remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you ...I tell you the truth;
It is expedient for you that I go away:
for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you;
but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
John 14:26 and John 16:7
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit,
that we are the children of God: And if children,
then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
...Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
...If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children:
how much more shall your heavenly Father
give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
...But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come
upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and
in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty
wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each
of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began
to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Luke 11:9 and 13 Acts 1:8 Acts 2:2-4
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit...to one is given
by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge...
to another faith...to another the gifts of healing...to another the working
of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to
another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues...
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets,
thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings,
helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not
what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit,
because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, gentleness, goodness,
faith, Meekness, temperance...
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the
Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye
are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore
glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
Quench not the Spirit... And grieve not the holy Spirit of God,
whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy
shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost
shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word
against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh
against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him,
neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
1 Cor 6:19-20 1 Thes 5:19 and Eph 4:30 Mat 12:31-32
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
